Assessments
Diagnostic
Definition:
A form of pre-assessment to gather student knowledge, strengths, weaknesses, or misconceptions, This will help the teacher modify lesson plans as needed

Summative
Definition:
An assessment to end a large unit or review student learning. Usually have high grade value and students may get test anxiety.

Formative
Definition:
A assessment to gather evidence of student learning, which will help with adjusting lesson plans. These assessments are for little value but are great for providing feedback for students.
1-Minute Reflection:
Students will write a small reflection over class material, exit ticket, or answer a question from teacher.

Performance
Definition:
An assessment that requires students to perform a task instead of answering a regular test.
Oral Quiz:
A quiz were student's rehearse out loud in Spanish
Ex: Months, Colors, Numbers, etc..

Interim/Benchmark
Definition:
Periodic testing to gather what students are learning and gather if they are on track with material. Little to no student feedback, mainly for teacher.

Enrichment Projects:
To assess if student is learning about specific holidays or important people in Spanish culture.
