Performance
Definition: A performance assessment is an assessment that requires students to directly demonstrate what they know and are able to do.
Socratic seminar: Students practice actively listening and responding to peers and maintain ownership of the learning.

Diagnostic
Definition: Diagnostic assessments are used to help teachers identify what students know and can do.
Student Survey: Students answer the questions indicating the prior knowledge they have over a topic or how much they understand from the unit being taught.

Formative
Definition: Formative assessment is a planned, ongoing process used to monitor student learning to provide feedback that can be used to improve learning and teaching
5-minute reflection: Students will have 5 minutes to write down everything they learned in the day's class and ask any questions they are confused on the topic.
Bell Ringers/Exit Ticket: At the beginning of a new unit, students will answer questions that indicates what they learned from the previous class.

Definition: Summative assessments are used to measure how much a student is learning after a a unit.
Final project: Project used to show what the student has learned about a whole unit in a variety of forms.
