Formative assessments are informal assessments gathered in a low stakes environment used to check for student understanding and guiding instruction.
Exit ticket: have students write 3 things Ŧhey learned. 2 things they found interesting, and 1 thing they still have questions about.
Two roses and a thorn: Have students write 2 things they liked about the lesson and one thing they didn't like/still have questions about.
