Keratin-resistant to acids,bases and bacterial enzymes
Sebaceous and sweat glands-rinse the surface contains dermiciden and antibodies
Acid mantel- secretion that makes it acidic
Mechanical barrier- prevent entry pathogens
b. Intact Mucous Membrane
Mucus- traps pathogens
Earwax-traps microorganisms
Mechanical barrier-prevents entry of pathogens ge
Celia- pushes debris towards pharynx
Gastric juice- contains ACL and enzymes to breakdown proteins
Acid mantel of vagina-inhibits bacterial and fungal growth
