Animal neglection and animal startvation
The issue of animal neglection and animal starvation as a whole has caused the issue of high animal death rates and millions of animals especially Cows and dogs are left on the streets, or in drainage areas to suffer.
A lot of Cows are suffering from a stomach bug that causes an infection called Gastroenteritis. This happens because cows in milk production areas are injected with a hormone called Oxytocin which their bodies cannot handle. This causes high milk yield and stomach cramps and bugs.
People aren't doing anything about it and they just leave the cows to suffer.
Significantly high air pollution would be caused because of the dead bodies of dogs and cows that are just lying on the streets. When these bodies decay, Nitrogen and other gases etc, go to the environment and cause pollution.
Animal negligence is not only something that happens to animals on the streets, but it also happens to animals that are pets. A lot of pet owners don't get pets for the joy and happiness they get instead, they do it for the purpose of showing their status symbol and showing off.
At the end of the day, the people neglect the environmental need of animals, the requirements of the animals and due to the high maintenance required for some dog breeds, owners get fed-up and throw the animals.
The two main stakeholders who we are targeting for our goal are- 1- the Veterinary doctors. These stakeholders will help us because they will give us a broad picture of the various cases they see for animal negligence and animal starvation. Moreover, the idea of how these animals get ill-treated would also be known when we conduct this survey on Veterinary doctors.
2- Animal husbandry workers. They work with animals throughout the day and see such cases on a regular basis so, they can help us get a brief and in-depth idea of the issue.
