she wants to remove herself from womanhood as much as she can because she lost her baby and is very angry

she is duplicitous in her relationship with gender, as she asks to be more like a man to be powerful enough to commit murder, but uses her femininity to get what she wants and trick people in the castle

she plans to slip something into duncan's wine. what drug/poison was there in the 11th century? could it be a spell?
