I feel not out of my depth in this subject as I think I have the basic knowledge
not up to date with the latest research as no further PD taken in this field

BENEFITS

massive improvement in the Quality of life of a client with incontinence
pelvic floor together with core stability muscles forms the basis for trunk stability. Improved stability enhances task performance. This is beneficial more such a broad range of clients/ physiotherapy services.
DIFFICULTIES
no extra qualifications in this topic so out of date knowledge
as reduced workload in hospital- less opportunity to put new knowledge to practise
working in the disability sector, there might be limited opportunities to practise these new skills
an adaptation of the new skills learned might be required for the paediatric clients
OPPORTUNITIES
improved post natal service in hospital for clients post delivery (vaginal and caesarian)
update hand-outs given to clients in hospital
transferring of this skill set to broader client range, including paediatric clients
