Summative
Definition: Summative Assessments are used to evaluate what students know at the end of a instructional unit. Grades and necessary and high stakes.
Final Exam: Exam given to students at the end of the term that assess their knowledge over the prior units.
Major Cumulative Project: A project at the end of a unit or a term that allows students to demonstrate their academic knowledge over the topic
Diagnostic
Definition: A diagnostic assessment is use as a pre-assessment for teachers to help identify what students know and what they can do different to support students learning.
Pre-Quiz: Students will take a short quiz that will not be for a grade so the teacher can see where the students are at with the upcoming topic
