A translation simply moves a shape up, down, or from side to side without changing the object's overall look.

The shape of itself stays the same, but the position in the shape changes.
Amusement park rides, like ferris wheels.

Reflection
A reflection is the mirror image of the shape. In Geography, a reflection is also known as a flip.
On the opposite side of the mirror line, every point on the shape is the same distance away.

Dilation
Dilation means changing the size of an object without changing its shape. The size of the object may be increased or decreased based on the scale factor.
