Successes
New permanent currency that was stable and was backed by the gold standard - Reichsmark
Got rid of the old currency that was hyperinflated and was worth almost nothing.
Those on a fixed income were paid fairly again and were able to live of their income again. As opposed to before when they were being paid the same amount of money, but at a much lower value as the old currency was worth almost nothing.
The Dawes Plan and Young plan made reparations easier for Germany
This led to the start of recovery for the German economy
Investments in Germany from America also aided in recovery
Boost in German industry created jobs further recovering the economy.
Failures
The economic boom in Weimar Germany was precarious. The US loans could be called in at short notice, which would cause ruin in Germany.
The boom also increased inequality. The main economic winners in Germany were big businesses which controlled about half of Germany's industrial production. Other winners were big landowners. The workers in the big industries also gained aswell. Most Weimar governments were sympathetic towards the unions, which led to improved pay and conditions.
The Wall Street crash showed Germany just how fragile their economy still was

Reparations were decreased due to the Dawes and Young plan.
Also convinced the French to end occupation of the Ruhr, which was a source of coal for Germany which were vital to German industry and to pay off reparations.
Allowed in the League of Nations after the Locarno Treaty was signed.
Brought peace and cooperation among the nations.
Failures
The Locarno Treaty led to Germany losing some of it's land. Specifically, in the western border, Alsace-Lorraine was given to France.

Succeses
During the 'Golden Age' of the Weimar Republic culture flourished.
Music, Cinema, Visual Arts, Science, Philosophy and Education all flourished during this time.
Many great scientists, artists, philosophers, etc. lived/worked in Germany during this time. For example, Albert Einstein, and the Bauhaus school.
Failures
Reputation for decadence - Decline in morals often by excessive indulgence in pleasure or luxury.
Berlin became known for a place where previously though immoral behaviour flourished.
