Procurement director: Is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the purchasing process within the organization. It mainly focuses on the the costs of production and making sure that it stays profitable.
Supply chain director: Is responsible for creating the proper infrastructure for production and making sure that the supply chain runs efficiently
IT Director: Focuses on managing technology resources and employees to ensure that IT operations run smoothly.
R&D director: They are responsible for controlling, coordinating and carrying out research in various company departments, guaranteeing the continuous innovation of products and work processes. They are especially important in the pharmaceutical industry as they are crucial to separating themselves from the competition and creating new products.
Effects of Moderna
Moderna has been able to deliver over 800 million vaccine doses for COVID-19 and has been able to emerge on the world stage as one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies on the world stage.
Through the Moderna foundation, Moderna has been able to provide medical care to thousands of children in struggling nations as well as donated COVID-19 vaccines to nations unable to pay such as Kenya and Pakistan
Through the development of MRNA technology it has set an example for other pharmaceutical companies to develop similar technology to provide essential vaccines to growing diseases worldwide and fight of future pandemics.
Moderna has been able to expand far beyond the USA and has focused on developing plants throughout Africa and Asia to provide reliable streams of production and expanded there impact on the world through more vaccines.

In 2015, Moderna initiates first-in-human dose of an mRNA vaccine. This is done against a specific flu variant
In 2017, Moderna initiates the first-in-human dosing for mRNA-1653, a combination vaccine with the potential to protect against more than one disease. This is the first multi-disease vaccine created using this technique of vaccine production.
In 2019, Moderna announces dosing of the first antibody encoded by mRNA in a clinical trial. This brought the company closer to creating a possible vaccine.
In 2022, the FDA approved the Biologics License Application for Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine after the CDC's recommendation for the vaccine in 2020.
