Formative
Kahoot: Start class with a quick game of kahoot, reviewing concepts from the previous lesson
Quick Write: Two minutes for students to brain dump their ideas, thoughts, and understanding from the day's instruction
Formal or informal way of gauging student understanding. Teachers can then modify instruction to better meet student needs. These assessments have low grade-value.

Performance
Group Poster Project: Students are given a rubric that outlines what needs to included in the poster such as pictures, definitions, summaries, and tables/graphs
Journals: Each day students are given a prompt or topic to write about. They must keep up with each day
An assessment that asks students to demonstrate what they know and are able to do through tasks such as creating, producing, or performing a project or activity
Diagnostic
Student Log: Having a file or log for each student observe behaviors and reactions to different scenarios
Student Surveys: A way to check in on students to see how they are doing and also to evaluate how they are doing in the class as far as understanding and keeping up
Used to help teachers find what students know and can do in different domains to support their students' learning. They help to build on the students' strengths and address their specific needs.
