Formative Assessments
Formative assessment is the process of gathering evidence of student learning. They provide feedback so teachers can adjust instruction strategies to enhance acheivement and allow learners to change behaviors.
Summative Assessments
Summative assessments evaluate student learning at the end of a unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark.
