Swiss International Design - Coggle Diagram

- - - - 1950's - Swiss style is developed and begins to gather speed
        
        1957, 1967 - Armin Hoffmann taught at Yale for a time, and laterin Philidelphia. This is what encouraged Swiss Style to expand to a global scale, as it was now introduced to the USA
        
        1980's - Swiss style is still strong, but by the 90's it begins to die down as it was replaced by Grunge, Anti Design, Pop, and Rave. It still is used in corporate design.
        
        Today - We still use grid systems in many designs to help us better visualise our designs. It also has had much influence on new styles such as flat design.
- - - - He holds one man exhibitions in Zurich, Bern, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin, Paris, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Osaka, Caracas, and Zagreb. Also, furthering the reaches of Swiss design
        
        Josef did not retire, and worked right up until he died in 1996 in Unterengstringen, Switzerland.
- - - - Hoffmanns works became world famous and are still examples for design today. He retired in 1987, and at the age of 100 in 2020, he died is Lucerne, Switzerland where he lived with his wife, Dorothea.
