Primary source These ar emade in the time studied (Anne Frank diary)
Secondary sources These are made after the time studied (History textbook)
Words to learn
Prejudice Pre-judging a person or groups of people before you know anything about them.
Bias/Biased Having a one-sided opinion. Example (Man.United is tehe best team in the world.
Propaganda Using information or images that can be false. This is to make people agree with your point of view. Hitler used propaganda to brainwash the people against the Jews.

How do archaelogists know were to excavate?
Use aerials photographs to look for clues
Myths and legends might help you find a site
Check obvious places (castle ruins, ...)
A rescue excavation is quickly carried out before development takes place
Fosils and artefacts
Fosils are something that was once alive.
Artefacts are man made objects
How do archaelogists date an artefact or fosil?
Carbon 14: Every living body has carbon 14, and when it dies, teh carbon disapears slowly.
Stratigraphy: The deeper down the soil it is, the older it is.

Ancient romans
Patricians and plebeians

Live in domus, and have a villa in the countryside
