Charleston
This was an important dance that became popular with the arrival of the song "The Charleston" by James P. Johnson in a broadway musical and it was supported by people from the roaring 20s generation.

Blues
During the Twenties, blues was played by black musicians and was popular within the black community. One of the most important blues singers of the decade was Mamie Smith. Mamie Smith is credited with making the first recorded blues vocal performance by an African American singer in 1920.
Jazz
Jazz music originated in New Orleans and spread thanks to people that left their country to look for better opportunities and it was no longer considered a regional music dominated by African Americans.
Flappers
Were the women that had a new style of life, making important changes to their economic, political and sexual barriers. This happened because of World War 1 because womens entered the workforce. The classic image of the flappers were young party womens.
Volstead Act and Gangsters
Andrew J. Volstead in 1920 created a law to implement the prohibition, production and distribution of alcoholic beverages. Gangsters: The biggest gangster in 1920 was called Alphonse Capone, he dominated the organized crime in Chicago from 1925 to 1931. Organized crime grew because of the alcohol prohibition.
Great Migration
A movement given thanks to the relocation of around 6 million of Black Americans from 1920 to 1970, but with a special focus in the 20’s decade. Here, black population of major cities considerably grew and new black american urban cultures were created.
Suffragists
The suffragist movement had the goal to achive voting rights for women, it started because of the lack of the right to vote from the woman. It was made by the National Woman Suffrage Association
Art Vanguards
Cubism
is an artistic method created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. It started because the artist had the idea to create the illusion of the three dimensional space in their drawings and paintings
Surrealism was an artistic and literary movement that used fantasy, myths, and dream images to create art. The Surrealist movement began in Europe in the 1920s as a reaction to the atrocities of World War I.
Futurism
is a literary and artistic movement,emerged in Italy 1909 by Marinetti,seeks to represent the real life highlighting the use of machines and tecnology in addition to the establishment of the new fascist order.
Art Déco
is decorative arts in the 20s, emerged in Paris und had a symbol of progress, order, urban and machinery so it modified the architecture and interior design.
Society of Nations
The League of Nations was an international organization, headquartered in Switzerland, It was created after the First World War to provide a forum for resolving international disputes and maintaining peace.
Dawes Plan
In 1923, Germany was charged with an economic fee for the reparation of the damages of WWI, Charles Dawes, invented an Economic plan in which Germany would pay by year in accordance to the economical development.
Government:
In November and December of 1918 the Kaiser Wilhelm II lost the support of the people, making him abdicate. In February of 1919 a new parliament was created and they elected SDP leader Friedrich Ebert as President of the Weimar Republic. Finally in August of 1919 they signed the new constitution of the country.
Economy:
The allies established in the Versailles treaty that the Germans must pay reparations for the damage made during the war. This caused the living cost to rise immensely, the government tried to print more money which made the German currency decline and lead to hyperinflation.
Social situation:
The conservatives, afraid of so much democracy, made some actions that were prohibited by the parliament. Everyone agreed on the idea that the country was a mess because of the Treaty of Versailles. Almost all the people of the country became poor causing great discontent.
Spartacist Movement
In 1919 a group of workers tried to challenge the recently founded Weimar Government by a series of protests in the center of Berlin. Their objective was to replicate what the communist revolution in Russia. Then, the government decided to call the Freikorps that where a paramilitary group composed of ex-militants to suppress the protest, it was done successfully and days later both of their leaders were arrested and executed by the same group.
New Economic Policy (NEP)
Vladimir Lenin introduce it.
1921-1928
This implied a policy of a "war communism", which entailed the nationalization of industry, the centralized distribution of the production, the control of agriculture, and the attempt to abolish the circulation of money, private enterprise and tree trade.
Stalin and Trotsky
Trotsky and Stalin where political rivals, they performed a contest for power during many years, Stalin was head of the Bolshevik, while Trotsky was expelled, exiled and vanished.

This Planning affected all fields of economy: Investment, production, consumption, wages and prices. It left aside any type of self management of workers and companies. The mixed system of state and private property was abolished.
It was a method to plan the economic growth in short periods of time with the use of quotes, it helped agriculture and development heavy industry.

: the context if the time forced the writters to writte about national topics like politics and social aspects. The most importnat were: Carlos Pellicer, Jose Gorstiza and Jaime Torres Bodet
Architecture and Sculpture
: In revolution the level of construction was reduced to the basic, later, they stopped using the Porfirian and neoclacisicm neither Freinchified styles and now arquitecture was more cosmopolitanism and narrower nationalism

: the most important music gender were the corridos they were created to give testimonies of the revolution and to praise the warlord to the women of that time, the best know is " the cockroach" , the sentimentalism was represented with dances and valces and the bailables were polk
