Big Idea: Differing groups such as indigenous people might have a differing perspective on immigration than descendants of "colonizers"
Big Idea: Different cultures may feel differently about who Canada should allow in
Essential Question: Why is it important to examine the immigration system from multiple angles?

Big Idea: We have a duty to help out other countries in need of help

Big Idea: We also have a duty to protect our national security
Essential question: How would Canada respond to such a crisis
Big Idea: Canada has accepted many refugees during past crisis
Big Idea: Canada is currently helping out the people of Ukraine
