Conflict takes place in many parts of the world, with negative impacts on education.While education might continue during times of conflict, this conflict has a negative, directeffect on education and its quality due to the prevalence and risk of violence, fear, andsafety concerns. It destroys schools; causes schools to be used for military purposesor as shelters for displaced families; puts teachers and students at risk of being killed,wounded, or kidnapped; and causes psychological trauma.
