In order to achieve gender equality, we need to
acknowledge the fact that women have been discriminated against for a long time.

Worldwide, 129 million girls are out of school (UNICEF, 2020).
Only 49% of countries have achieved gender equality in primary education (UNICEF, 2020).

Learning Basic Skills

In Kentucky alone, more than 5,000 teaching positions are open due to teacher shortages.

Attendance in Schools
Create a welcoming and engaging environment to boost attendance, while also setting an attendance policy in place.

At one middle school in the United States, more than 40 percent of the students have been chronically absent this school year. (NY Times, 2022).

Budget and Funding

In India alone, 30% schools do not have usable toilets for both girls and boys.
Many of the schools also lack drinking water.

Target extra funds to help low-income children to ensure they get the quality education they deserve.
Involve everyone in children's education (parents, teachers, etc.)

Teachers who communicate with their students gain their respect, which leads to a better education for themselves.

Students in low socioeconomic school districts are less likely to have parent involvement due to the fact the parents are working multiple jobs or longer shifts.
