1.-The Most Powerful Monarchies :
Authoritian monarchies(15-16century) came
from medieval feudal monarchies
to protect the throne, monarch created
Royal treasuries:
collected money to maintain Royal armies
they created taxes and asked for loans
to the rich people or middle class
Permanent royal armies:
this increase
stability of Kingdoms
The Royal court and the administration of kingdoms:
became more complex
more people(ministers, educated members of middle class...)
participate in govern th Kingdom
this is the origin of modern state
when someone rebeled against monarchy
the king gave that person a job
in the royal court or agreed with him
ir the royal treasuries were powerful
the monarch nedds less money from
regional courts and parliaments
monarchs
chose important church figures
mayors and magistrates
they need
nobility, church and middle class
to maintain stability
2- The 15th and 16th centuries
Economy:
fist it was a rural economy
but then it change to craftwork and trade
Markets:
appreared in them land and goods were bought and sold
Authorities put restrictions on economic activities
giving privileges to groups
Monopolies nad Priviledges
Artisans guilds/Castilian livestock farmers were priviledges
during the modern age
important geographical discoveries led to own new monopolies
were bons
on certain economic activities
In modern age
they sold more cheap their products
3 states in the modern age:
nobility :
rich people/ no military power
clergy:
bishops and humble rural priest
if they come form rich family
high position
third estate:
largestsegment
peasants combine
farm work with textile craftwork
Social different in 3rd estate:
Rural areas:
they sold product to urban middle class
Urban areas:
the monarch let them administrate cities
beneath there were(artisans, farmers, shopkeepers
that trade in regional areas
