women are overrepresented in undervalued jobs, for example maids or waiters, which makes people believe that women cannot do higher paying jobs.
Women that are in the work force are still expected to go home and do unpaid labor, which will affect what jobs they can do because of hours and energy.
Job segregation is a big contributor to the wage gap, women get lower income jobs.
