women are overrepresented in undervalued jobs, for example maids or waiters, which makes people believe that women cannot do higher paying jobs.
Women that are in the work force are still expected to go home and do unpaid labor, which will affect what jobs they can do because of hours and energy.
Job segregation is a big contributor to the wage gap, women get lower income jobs.

women in most places can not choose if they want to keep the baby or not, they are expected to take off work to have the baby, some places unpaid, then they are discriminated against for having the baby.
women are forced to have the child and then they can be fired or demoted because "if they are worried about taking care of a child they cant focus enough on their job.
