Advantages of Quality Education
A quality education gives a child the ability to make skillful decisions and form more accurate judgements. It can also help them understand their thought processes and apply that to be confident in their decisions.
With quality education that's available to every person, our socioeconomic mobility will skyrocket.
Education is key to creating and finding better employment options. More education opens the door to better, higher paying jobs. With a college degree, you are two times less likely to make under $40,000 than someone with just a high school diploma
Quality education develops skills that make people more productive. This refers to productivity at place of employment, but also, in day to day life.
Studies show, that the most cost-effective way to attempt to lessen crime rates is education. Reduction in crime must be confronted with prevention of crime. Educating young people about the dangers of committing a crime and the consequences that may follow, could solve a portion of the problem.
The main focus for ending poverty, is quality education. If every person left school with the basic ability to read, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty. Quality education opens the door to so many opportunities. Better employment options, as mentioned before, but also becoming more educated on global poverty and coming up with even more solutions.
Without education, the base of future prospects is shattered. The best way to eliminate inequalities is quality education. If everyone is offered the same opportunity at an education, there is no upper hand that can be given.
Quality education leads to more accurate health beliefs and knowledge, and overall better health. Quality education allows a person to better understand their health needs and do take care of themselves accordingly. For example, asking their community for safe walking trails to promote exercise.
Quality education plays a big role in a persons mental health. Those with less education often have less access to resources to get help if they suffer from mental illnesses. Quality education can also reduce stress levels.
Quality education provides more knowledge on making better decisions in developing better and healthier habits, such as exercise and eating healthier. People with less education often times have less access to supermarkets that provide healthier food choices.
With greater quality education, comes greater self-advocacy. Education provides the knowledge to know and find out what our bodies need. Once the education is there, the advocacy follows. People become more accountable for their own health.
When learning anything new, there is a sense of self-discipline that must be present to keep a person on track and in line with their end-goal. This is something that follows a person all throughout their life and can be beneficial in so many ways, and especially when it come to their health. It takes a great sense of discipline to research and come up with and end-goal, and to realize what it is going to take to accomplish it.
Early education is where children begin to learn emotional skills, whether they learn good or bad ones. They learn this by watching other people such as their parents, grandparents, or caregivers. Teachers can intentionally enhance these skills and promote healthy social and emotional health.
Early childhood is when the seed of education is planted. Those developmental stages are where the foundation is put down to be built upon for the rest of their lives.
Educators have the opportunity to help certain children succeed in different ways. There are certain children who have unique abilities or maybe disabilities and educators can tailor their lessons to give this child an equal education and help them to have the same education and opportunities as everyone else.
The feedback that children receive during the preprimary educational years can affect the way they approach the learning process. Whether they receive positive feedback that encourages them to keep learning and exploring, or they receive no feedback or encouragement to keep going will have a huge effect on the way they perform throughout their primary and secondary education process.
Early education is when children really start to build relationships outside of their parents. Throughout this process they will learn how to think, understand, and communicate. They will learn from others behaviors and experiment with their own. By dealing with others behavior they will also learn how to interact with them. This is obviously a vital part of early education.
There are global inconsistencies in quality education. This can be combatted by educating and training more and more qualified teachers to spread quality education all over the world.
One way we can improve education, is to improve school lunch programs. Many schools around America have hardworking cafeteria staff, but there are schools all over the world that don't have funds or access to school lunch programs. Studies show that children in schools with a healthy lunch program have reduced food insecurity, lower obesity rates, and meet students nutritional need to lead to a better learning environment.
To build off of the last point, updated technology would be very beneficial for teachers to present lessons, and in turn would be beneficial for students. Although the technology is available, schools may not always have the funding to provide this technology especially n poverty stricken areas across the world.
Reducing the cost of education can greatly increase the number of children and even adults that receive a quality education. Many people opt out of college and furthering their education because of the cost. More people may be less intimidated by college if it wasn't so costly.
Improved resources for teachers would in turn improve education for students. Although so much technology is available for teachers now days, there are so many teachers around the world who simply do not have access to this technology. Teachers must have clear and effective resources to provide quality education for their students.
