Poverty for children in Scotland is a huge problem and affects 1 in 5 children. In some areas, it's 1 in 3.affects every aspect of a child's life - social, economical and personal. Living on a low income means that children's diet and health can suffer, and this can affect them all the way into adulthood, making them more likely to suffer ill health, be unemployed, be homeless, be in abusive relationships and to be involved in crime.
