What materials did they use to build their shelters?
Birch bark was also used as a building material to cover the wigwam. It was an excellent building material because it was sturdy, lightweight and portable so when the family moved it was easy to disassemble their wigwam and re-assemble it in their new location.
What tools and weapons did they use in their daily life?
Common hunting tools are bows and arrows, spears and clubs. Some creatures are hunted in waterways such as fish, mussels, turtles, crayfish and frogs.
How did their shelter protect them from the environment?

Igloo is thick so you can have a fire inside. You can stay warm and protected
Since the shape is a dome, if it rains or snows, the ice/snow can slide off
The wind is probably really strong , there are no real trees for protection
