Easy to replace and had no power with employers

Very strict and production-focused
Could not see family for long periods of time
No regulations during that time protecting workers

Factories were dusty, dark and dirty and had very little sunlight
A lot of smoke which resulted in eye and lung diseases
Many safety hazards because of the machines being poorly developed
No physical activity for children which led to deforimities
People
Missing work due to a sickness or injury would result in being fired
Easily replaced
No talking was allowed
Had to work in coal mines
No medical attention
Injured workers fired
