Describe some of your experiences in food courts and hawker centres. How important are these places in your life as a teenager in Singapore?

long queues, have to snake my way through the compact crowd
noisy environment, atmosphere is abundant with many having their own conversations

makes the place very alive, compared to my home (very quiet)
I visit the hawker centre almost every day w my parents for dinner, wait for them to come home from work - catch up with what happened during the day with each other, can get to know each other more deeper

when I was much younger (primary 1-3), I used to eat tgt with friends I made who lived in the same neighbourhood as me at least once a week
they were older than me, took care of me well
always patronised the same hawker centre

- chatted and laughed as we talked
I would always share with them my concerns and had deep talks w them while eating because we spent most of the time tgt at hawker centre
