Omniscience, If God knows everything, and is never ignorant can he know…
Omniscience

If God knows the future (foreknowledge) do we have free will?
It can be argued that there is an important difference here. We know what our friend will do in a particular situation in that we can predict with a high degree of accuracy. On the other hand, God knows things absolutely, something that he know must necessarily be true. If he knows that something will happen, it must happen, there is no room for free will.
omniscience = knowledge of the decisions our friends will make, which does not deny them free will
- God has O-foreknowledge (observer foreknowledge)
- not A-foreknowledge (agent foreknowledge)

Dummet on omniscience -
"God has no particular point of view... He knows, not by the effect of object or events...but by his comprehension of all truth"
"for every true proposition, he knows that it is true.... if there is no answer, there is nothing for him to know"
Dummett’s God knows all true propositions, does that mean He knows everything?

Boethius -
"whatever lives in time lives only in the present, which passes from the past into the future, and no temporal thing has such a nature that it can simultaneously embrace its entire existence, for it has not yet arrived at tomorrow and no longer exists in yesterday"
If God's omniscience means he knows our future actions then rewards/punishment = unjust.
-> All events occur simultaneously in his eternal present.
"If God knows that something might happen, and then again, it might not, then this can hardly be called knowledge. But if God firmly knows things then they become inevitable."
"That which is now judged to be most equitable, the punishment of the wicked and the reward of the good, will be seen as the most unjust of all; for men are driven to good or evil not by their own will, but the fixed necessity of what will be."
