Annual mammograms for women over the age of 40, or starting eariler depending upon family history
Diagnostics
Diagnostic Mammogram: typically done after seeing results on an annual mammogram that look suspicious with a mass or lump to get better and more accurate imaging of the specific affected area
Breast Ultrasound: additional imaging to confirm size of a mass or lump and to get a better and more accurate imaging
Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI): another type of imaging to get better imaging of inside the breast tissue and the mass or lumps
Breast Tissue Biopsy: the removal of fluid or tissue for additional testing and closer examination under the microscope
