Increase sponsership
-
Positives
Their are many positives to an increase in sponserships whether a company sponsors an individual or a team or even the whole club. This can include they can be provided with new and better equipment for the teams to be able to progress in their traing, it can give teams to the opportunitie to get a kit to play games in. Sponsors can provide or hep provide transport for teams to be able to travel to games or even for tours. With sponsors providing equipment for clubs it will free up money for clubs to be able to invest in other sectors.
An increase in sponsorship deals will help widen opportunities that teams and players recive, it can help open up opportunities to travel to further game, it can simply help the clubs source and afford a kit for teams, help them get more or better equipment to help the progression of the athletes, it will mean that their will be more money left over for the clubs to be able to close the pay gap, it could help the club be able to hire more qualified coaches or even offer courses people wanting to become coaches or referees (helping the club as a hole) and also qualifications to those with prior Qualifications to help them widen their knowledge and experience helping them get further in their sporting career.
Negatives
A negative to increasing sponsorship deals in the sport could be tat the company's that sponsor the teams may not receive any extra revenue in return or loose out on money which would then cause them to drop out.
Educational workshops
-
Positives
Positives to hosting educational workshops is that it will broden the knowlede of theose in the workshops and those who the participants share what they've learn't toi.
Offering educational workshops will allow people to understand the importance of sport and the benefits of participation.
Negatives
May not have an impact on those who attend, and they may not learn anything (but as long as one person in a workshop learns something or sees and opportunity it has worked. People may not attend the workshops (a solution to this would to be to host them for young girls in school or to put posters up and host them in a local club).

Equal prize moeny
By giving both male and female athletes the same prize money it will equal the playing field. Equalling the prize money will mean that their will be an increase the number of professional female athletes as they will be more able to compete and take part. The increase in financial reward for the females will open up more oppertuties for the females such as being able to bring in more professionals (whether that be a person or technology) to help them better their preformers. the added pressure of an increase in prize money will mean that the performances by the athlete are at the highest standard as theirs more on the line.
-
postives
By giving both female and male athletes the same prize money it will allow for both genders to feel the same appreciation. Another positive is that females may feel more motivated/able to participate in the sport if they receive the same prize money as the males. equalling prize money will help can increase participants in any sport weather that be more females in male dominated sports or even more males in more female dominated sports.
negatives
One problem with giving both female and male athletes the same prize money is that where will the extra money come from? the money could be taken from one gender to equal the pay. Another negative is that some athletes may become solely extrinsically motivated.
More coverage
PESTLE
Another Pestle element to increasing coverage for females is the technological element. As most coverage is technical for example, social media and any coverage available is manly on phones, laptops, tv's, etc.
More coverage also has an economic impact as it brings in more revenue. which is the main aim of the solution. this is because we are wanting to increase the money available to close the gender pay gab in rugby.
More coverage is a social element of Pestle as it aims to bring down social barriers and stereotypes. It will improve the attitude of the public as it will normalise women playing rugby as it will be covered more and therefor seen more by the public and then yet still benefiting the players in other wise too.
Positives .
There's many positives giving females more coverage. such as creating a bigger audience, bringing in new sponsors and normalising women in the sport. by having more coverage on social media platforms and on tv it is likely to spike more interest of new people, this then increases the amount of people watching the games brining in new revnue then merchandise is also likely to be sold brining in another form of revnue, it is also likely to bring on more girls into the sport once again increasing and drawing in more supporters. With the increase in popularity they are more likely to bring in more new sponsors with can supply the female and male teams with equitment, travel and much more this leaves more money in the club to equal the pay for their players. By sponsoring female teams the sponsors will also receive benefits such as an increase in coverage for them which can also increase in their revenue.
Usually in the sporting environment men will have more coverage than females. by this I mean they get more coverage on tv's so they will have more air time, this is due to stereotypes and therefor the audience for the females are only recently slowly increasing their audience. the males will also get more coverage on social media platforms as they are the ones who have the most opportunities. By having more coverage it allows for a wider audience to come to like and invest an interest in the female side of the sport, the increase in interest means there will be a higher likely hood of sponsors intrest, sponsors will allow more funding for equipment and kit etc which then allows for more of the clubs funding to be able to close or minimise the pay gab.
Negatives
Another negative that comes from increasing media coverage for females rugby , is that they will be open to a wider view which can bring a wider range of opinions. This will mean that these women will be at a greater impact on criticism and maybe even hate online.
Although there are many positives, giving more coverage has a few negatives. one negative is it could take away coverage from the males, which could lead to a decrease in their revenue. But a worse outcome would be that no interest is spiked due to the increase in coverage meaning the team is spending money on coverage and aren't making money back from it it will decrease the likely hood of closing the gender pay gab and could increase the risk.
