different steps
EARLY PHASE
- after the DSB is formed on the chr
- formation of the recombinogenic filaments, so the single strands are exposed
- the exposed filaments anneals to the target sequence (strand invasion process)
depends on:
→ nucleases and helicases
→ factors that allow the annealing such as rad52 or recombinases like rad51
3' tail problem
when the 3' tail is formed and prepared for recombination, with the invasion of the homologous sequence it can happen that they are not perfectly complementary
-
MATURATION PHASE
- resynthesis starts (there can be second end capture), so the donor template is copied
depends on:
→ ssDNA binding factors, recombinases, strand exchange and annealing factors as well as regulatory factors
LATE PHASE
- formation of dHJ
- replication goes on
- ligation
- resolution of the structure
