Example: Wednesday wants to maintain her self-presentation as this dark, gloomy, and scary person that would make people stay away from her since she is someone that has no emotions or doesn't do many social interactions with others. A scene that demonstrates it, is when Enid (her roommate) is introducing Wednesday to everyone in the school and the different social groups that are known in the school, what stood out to me about this scene with Wednesday and Enid is that she said to Wednesday, "the whole snarky goth girl thing might have worked at normie school but here things are different." This shows, how Wednesday is going to uphold that self-presentation of herself and she is going to ignore that expectation of trying to fit in the school and interact with other students who are outcast as herself, but yet she does not want to change and try to make those connections instead she maintains to stay true to herself.
