Solenoids
a type of electromagnet, that generates a controlled magnetic field through a coil wound into a tightly packed helix. The coil can be arranged to produce a uniform magnetic field in a volume of space when an electric current is passed through it.

Electric Fields
Cyclotron
A cyclotron accelerates charged particles outwards from the centre of a flat cylindrical vacuum chamber along a spiral path.
Potential difference between plates
The electronvolt
The amount of kinetic energy gained by a single electron accelerating from rest through an electric potential difference of one volt in vacuum.
Projectile motion of electrons
The electron is affected by a force proportional to the field intensity. The charge of an electron is negative, therefore the affecting force has the opposite direction in comparison with the electric field vector. So the force will be accelerating the electron.
