Pathophysiology
Also known as regional enteritis. A conditioned characterized by inflammation and ulceration of the lining of the intestinal tract. Crohn's disease can affect any area of the GI tract although the terminal ileum is most often affected. Attacks may be isolated but can be chronic in certain conditions lasting days or even months.
