simile: Is a literary device that consists of a comparison between two or more objects or elements by using the words "like" or "as". An example of simile could be "they were fighting as if they were cats and dogs.

Symbolism:
symbolism is the use of symbols (Such as objects, colors, relatives etc) to represent (or interpret) ideas or qualities that could be meaningful for the person describing it or not. Symbolism is also a used term present in poems and songs to express better the authors emotions. Two examples of symbolism are:
- The broken mirror that reflects what we have loss
- The scar of the boy that lived (Referring to Harry Potter)

characters: characters are
interpretations of someone in the story. Ther e are two main caracters, protagonist or secundary.An example is juliet from romeo and juliet.

Conflict: is the struggle between opposing forces. And without a conflict the story would have no point or purpose. They are 2 main types of conflicts, internal and external that are divided into 4 types:
-Man vs Self: is a internal conflict which may be about a mental health struggle or a moral issue.
-Man vs Man: the characters are opposed to each other or do something against the other
-Man vs Nature: Nature serves as a obstacule for the characters.
-Man vs Society: The society is against the characters beliefs
Example: In the catcher in the rye the conflict is internal and its character vs self. In which Holden isolates from everyone and self destructs.
hyperbole: It is a literary device. Its porpuse is to exaggerate a event in a story or a obvious event. For example He's running faster than the wind.
in the movie a dog's purpose a dog trough different lives tries to find his first owner, ethan when his first owner is an adult he arrives to his house and then the dog do something that his owner taught him and inmediately recognizes him as his dog.
Flashback:
Definition: Flashbacks are mostly used in movies, novels and plays, are a choice of the wtiter, and show short scenes from the past. A story could even start with a flashback showing us how everything was before something happened, or the flashback could be inserted in the middle of the story to show memories or important events from the past.
Example: In the movie Ratatouille, when the tall, skinny guy tastes the plate that Ratatouille made, there is a flashback to his childhood, where it is shown his mom cooking the same plate, that apparently was one of his favorites.
- This flashbacks helps us understand the guy's reactions and life now. It shows and creats nostalgia on the character, but at the same time joy, as he remembers good times.

Onomatopoeia:
Is the use of words to represent or imitate sounds ( from accions or animals), so the sound can be represent linguistically (with words). It is normally use in comics to reproduce sounds, to complement the
comic´s images.
Example: I knew he was going to take me. Tap, tap, tap. he was close and sooner or later he would fine me. Tap, one step, tap, another step. Tap, tap, tap he was already here.

Foreshadowing: writer gives an advance clue of what is to come later in the story, foreshadowing usually appears at the beginning of a story or chapter, and from there it helps the reader develop expectations about upcoming events in a story. Examples: A character's thoughts can foreshadow. For example, "I told myself this is the end of my trouble, but I didn't believe myself."
Mood: It is part ot the literary atmosphere and its intended to evoque certain feelings in the readers. The mood is usually refered to as the amosphere of the story. Examples of mood are emotions because thats what mood represents in a story

Example of Imagery: " When I got to the beach I smelled the clean air and tasted the salt on my lips. I saw the smiles of the people having fun and heard the laughter of joy. I touched the soft but rough sand. I literally had the most relaxing feeling in years".
Repetition: Is when significant words or phrases are said more than once, which usually are in close proximity to each other. The purpose for repetition is to make or express a clear idea. For example: It was a very, very, very, very, long trip.

Imagery: It is a literary device that consists on the use of descriptive language to help the reader to visualize in a more realistic or better way, the story or piece of literature.
It's made by the use od literary devices, descriptive language and the 5 senses: taste, touch, smell, sight and sound.

Metaphor
-Similar to the Simile, a metaphor is a comparason that can be made between to objects or beings being the difference that it does not as explicit as a simile. Due to the fact that it does not use clue words as "like" or "as" being in the hands of the reader the interpretation.

-Your Skin is made of Snow.
Sarcasm
It is a form of verbal Irony that its purpose is to mock, ridicule or express contempt most of the time. It can be identified verbaly depending on the tone of a person.
Example
"Oh you should really be a comediant."

alliteration:is the repetition of the initial sound, its usually a consonant or cluster
example:"Sheep should sleep in a shed".
the setting is when and where a story is told, being a fictional or nonfictional story, the setting is one of the most important parts of a story, because it helps the author to give a feeling to the reader
like in the prince, he moves from planet to planet
