Amount of money in the area
If the area is poor then the food available will be less because the area wouldn't be able to pay for crops.
Number of suppliers
The supplies are less because the community doesn't have enough money to pay for extensive crops.
Social
Population
If there is a high population then the amount of food per person would be less because there is a set amount of food for the whole population
Community
If the community is poor then the amount of food given will be less then an area that has a high population
Environmental
Plagues of Locust
Plagues of Locust can destroy the plants that farmers have cropped
Location
If a country is in a location where there is very little rain received then the crops will most likely not grow.
Temperature
Certain crops require certain temperatures to grow meaning a crop that requires lots of heat would not be suited to somewhere such as Antarctica.
Other uses of the land
The land may be used for housing, rainforest or irrigation. The amount of land that could be used for farming may not be enough to sustain a population
