Burbank anti-racist collective
Removing the 3 police commissioners who are in violation of the mission statement, Amy, Robert, and Ellman (how do you invite the 'good ones' and not the 'bad ones')
Robert Cohen was around when Burbank was a sundown town and he did NOTHING
At sundown time, there was a city-wide alarm that went off to make sure black people went home.
Glendale had a talk about Glendale's history of racism. Why not us?
More than 5 black people couldn't meet up at a time because it was considered "loitering". More than 2 people have told Carmen about this. 60s, 70s. Non-congregating law
Campaign for our candidates, Nick Schultz and Konstantine

Burbank has to establish a hate crime unit independent of BPD
Studying what other cities have done (what power can groups like this hold in other towns)
Hate crime units can pierce "First Amendment" - you can't yell "bomb" in an airport. things that would be 'free speech' are now 'threats'.
SHOCK LAW - if someone who is lgbtq comes out you have a reason to kill them "out of shock"
There is one detective "vorhes" who is terrible, a microaggression/macroaggression factory who handles hate crimes. speaking abt carmen's son as a 'robbery suspect'
Carmen called the mayor directly about Halle being possibly doxxed. They redirected her to Detective V. and said 'nothing in these screenshots even comes near a breach of freedom of speech'. Investigated Heather and said the information is 'at the least third hand. If Carmen had better information she would have sent it by now.' But he didn't investigate the people on facebook? CLEARLY BIASED. NO ONE from the city reached out to the 17 year old and her mother.
Kirby should do a deep dive on how other cities deal with internet hate crime threats. What are ways that cities have protected residents and minors from these kinds of threats. BlackGirlsCraft is a private group but they still get reported for 'racist' crafts that say 'black girls rock'.
Shame is a great motivator
SROs and the conflict in mental health in schools and armed officers showing up
Nobody vote for dr armand
only 1 mental health professional on the mental health team
Truancy meetings for students take place at the police department
Put you in the system so you can pay 'restitution' for your child not showing up for school
burbank anti-racist facebook group already exists
