Goal: implement a comprehensive approach on socio-economic assistance to the gender-based violence (GBV) survivors in Kostyantinivka and Druzhkivka (the Donetsk Oblast) with further capacity building and adaptation of the approach by municipal bodies which work with GBV survivors combined with information and advocacy campaigns.
Obj 2. To implement case-management approach while working with GBV survivors which will include social (psychological, legal and career counseling) and economical (job placements, vocational education and mini-grant assistance) components.
Output 2.2 The grantee will conduct group training sessions or individual counselling for 45 grant’s beneficiaries on development of life skills (the list of the topics is predetermined in the grant full application).
Output 2.3 As a part of the case management approach and in collaboration with local employment centers, NGO “Slavic Heart” will conduct a series of job counselling activities for 45 beneficiaries.
Output 2.1. Two mobile units formed by the grantee will manage 45 cases of the beneficiaries suffered from GBV and identified within the grant implementation period. For better communication and outreach, the grantee will create six 15-20 minutes video materials which will illustrate the type of assistance provided by the grantee within the grant and by the grant partners
Outcome 2.1. As a result of the case management support, psycho-social support, in particular, the grant beneficiaries that survived GBV will better manage their psychological stress that will serve as a ground for improvements in livelihood.
Outcome 2.2. In long perspective, after rendered psycho-social support followed by participation in one or several economic activities, the grant beneficiaries will reduce their economic dependence on the abuser or life circumstances reinforcing the abuse cycle.
Obj 4. To arrange information exchange between the grantee and DAI about the economic needs of the grant beneficiaries and potential advocacy issues for their further elaboration and expert support
Output 4.1 The grantee will redirect 20 grant beneficiaries to the DAI on a condition that those beneficiaries are in need and want to participate in economic resilience enhancing activities outlined in the grant full application.
Output 4.2. The grantee will identify five advocacy issues, and together with DAI representative will further develop three of them by contributing to position papers drafting.
Output 4.3 The grantee will conduct two one-day training sessions (on-line or off-line) for 30 business and civil society representatives on gender-sensitive ethics in business, as well provide methodological support to 10 businesses on drafting their policies and/or internal regulations on sexual abuse and harassment at work.
Outcome 4.1. The advocacy issues identified by the grantee and the grant partners will be jointly coped by all stakeholders to find the best solution, meaning the transfer from individual approach to forming dedicated coalitions.
Obj 3. To improve municipal bodies capacity to respond to GBV cases in a comprehensive manner, leading to their self-reliance, through teaching on and replication of case-management approach.
Output 3.1 The grantee will provide capacity building support for 15 employees of the grant partners on approaches to case-management implementation while providing assistance to the GBV survivors through joint co-supervision of at least 10 cases of grant partners’ beneficiaries.
Output 3.2 The grantee will conduct two two-day training sessions for 15 employees of the grant partners for improvement of their capacity and integration of new methods in their work (the list of the topics is predetermined in the grant full application), as well as individual follow up supervision sessions on participants’ demand.
Output 3.3 NGO “Slavic Heart” will conduct six one-day training sessions for the grant partners on development of skills of psychological support to the GBV survivors and prevention of professional burnout while organizing working process. Upon the request from the grant partners’ employees, the grantee will also provide individual supervision.
Output 3.4 Following on the activities listed in Output 3.3, the grantee will implement one two-day training called ‘Prevention of the emotional burnout with team-building elements’ for 15 employees of the grant partners.
Output 3.5 The grantee will develop and provide the grant partners with one methodological guide with recommendations regarding psycho-social support of the GBV survivors and those in difficult straits.
Outcome 3.2. The grant partners, i.e. the municipal bodies will improve their capacity to serve GBV survivors, as they will start using the case management in their work, which offers personalized approach to the beneficiaries.
Outcome 3.1. GBV survivors in central part of the Donetsk Oblast will have access to improved social services rendered by municipal bodies, as a result of the case management approach adaptation to their work.
Obj 1. To organize and implement informational campaign for identification of exiting GBV cases, the awareness raising on GBV issues and possible ways of its prevention.
Output 1.1 Through various communication channels the grantee will identify 45 cases of GBV among the residents of the grant implementation area.
Output 1.2 The grantee will develop and distribute 1,000 copies of informational materials among grant direct beneficiaries and other interested persons (such as participants of information sessions).
Output 1.3 The grantee will hold 30 informational sessions at local public facilities on prevention of GBV and awareness raising on women’s opportunities, including economical ones, within the grant, as well as on rights protection mechanisms in consolidated communities (CC) of the Donetsk Oblast. For better communication and outreach, the grantee will develop six video materials which will be promoted in the Donetsk Oblast and inform the local residents about the information sessions, their contents and locations.
Output 1.4 Creation of one YouTube channel and one Telegram group jointly named ‘Know and Act!’ for hosting and sharing video materials and news among indirect and direct beneficiaries.
Output 1.5 The grantee will create five 10-15 minutes video materials called ‘Non-fiction stories’ telling the success stories of the women that successfully survived GBV and improved their economic situation.
Output 1.6 As a main part of its info campaign within the Donetsk Oblast, the grantee will implement the following: 1) four information and motivation meetings ‘Morning coffee’ for local authorities and businesses (10 participants each) followed up by four promotion video materials on such meetings; 2) one charity play by forum theatre initiative group for business representatives to promote their engagement in GBV issue resolution; 3) 11 promotion video materials by influential and successful women from the Donetsk Oblast asking to join efforts again GBV.
Output 1.7 The grantee will conduct three 30-60 minutes live streams in Facebook with entrepreneurs, activists and human rights advocates to share their knowledge and opinions on sexism at work and promote upcoming training on gender-sensitive ethics in business for local enterprises.
Output 1.8 As a result of the grant implementation, the grantee will create one Google map with identification of businesses and institutions that are friendly towards and provide assistance to the GBV survivors
Output 1.9 The grantee will publish 44 news posts within local and regional digital mass media describing the grant activities, assistance provision and results of the grant activities, as well as arrange two news reportages in one regional (‘TRK Donbas’) and one national (‘Espreso’) TV channels to highlight the grant activities to the wide audience.
Outcome 1.1. More information on psycho-social assistance for GBV survivors will become available to population of Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka, which thus raise the level of awareness on where to receive help if one faces with GBV.
Outcome 1.2. As a result of information campaign by the grantee, more local businesses and authorities will consider gender issues in their work and assist GBV survivors.
