Rupler Taube, eventually known by the name of its later variants, was the generic designation of a monoplane model developed in the period before the First World War and later mass produced and used by Germany in the conflict.
The first prototype (equipped with jet engines) took off on July 18, 1942 and in less than two years the fighter was declared operational and introduced to the Luftwaffe (German Air Force).
