- - - - Build connections between the spoken and written word : When students hear words read aloud, they begin seeing how printed words are closely connected to spoken words.
        
        Strengthens cognition: A well reading aloud exposes students to sophisticated language, which can strengthen their cognitive abilities.
- - - - :star: COMMUNICATIVE SPEAKING TASKS THAT HELP PROMOTE AUTOMATIC PROCESSING AND DEVELOP FLUENCY
        
        A) SURVEYS
        
        :fire: The elaborated version of milling activity.
        
        :fire: Involve learner asking and answering questions to complete the questionnaire/surveys.
        
        :fire: Example: Learners was given a situation where they need to work in pairs/small groups and they need to do a survey-type questions. Then, mill around, asking the questions, noting the answer before return to their original group. Lastly, the spokeperson of the group need to report the results/findings.
        
        B) BLOCKING GAMES
        
        :explode: Learners were given a situation where they need to perform it. In order to introduce an element of unpredictability into such dialogues, one of the speaker can be encouraged to 'block' the other's expectation.
        
        :explode: Example: The situation which has been thoroughly practiced where the customer wants to buy shoes in a shopping mall. Instead of providing the expected response, in answer to the request: "I'd like to buy a pair of trainers", the teacher can give unexpected response such as, "I'm sorry. I'm new here. What are trainers?". The customer need to cope with this unexpected response.
        
        C) GUESSING GAMES
        
        :tada: There is two-way interaction.
        
        :tada: The game takes place in real time, so there is an element of spontaneity and unpredictability.
        
        :tada: The focus is on the outcome (winning the game) not the language being used.
        
        :tada: Example: In pairs, learners are set the task of reconstructing their partner's weekend activities by asking only yes/no questions.

        T:...what other advantages do you think you may have, if you were the only child in the family?
        S:...i'm sorry? I beg your pardon.
        T:...Er, if you were the only child in your family, then what other advantages you may have?
        S: It's quiter for my study.

    - - i. Working individually or a group of three. An activity like creating a poster based on a pre-selected theme. Half of the students will around other group poster while other will circulate and asking questions about other group posters

        Posters are replaced with postcards of painting (can be from students or studios)
      - Headline
        
        Student prepares a "headline" that summarize newsworthy events in their recent live. For Example: The Frustrating Trip to Beijing
    - - Students are paired and they are needed to retell of a story or a monologue within a time limit for each speaker
