Impact on society
With the creation the printing press, it allowed important information, such as religious scriptures to be passed on to generations to come.
In order for Gutenburg to create the printing press, he used his knowledge of the function of the wine press, and the paper press.
Body Paragraph 2: Gunpowder
Impact on society
Gunpowder cannons were invented, which made destruction of walls and other buildings much easier for attackers. With this, defence systems and defence tactics improved.
Gunpowder impacted fighting. Fights were far more intense and the death tolls rose because guns were used along with cannons, which were far more powerful and had a greater range than crossbows.
Along with all the deaths riding on the invention of gunpowder, it was also used for entertainment purposes. Such as fireworks, which came around at the beginning of the 12th century. Which allowed larger celebrations for medieval society.

The Eyeglass
Impact on society
Before the eyeglass was invented in the 13th century those with poor vision relied on different mechanisms to help them see. One being looking through a glass of water which magnified the words. This allowed them to see the words, but it meant that one hand was occupied. With eyeglasses being available, it allowed the user to use both hands, as the eyeglass sat on the nose of a person.
Freed both hands of the user to read or write
Eyeglasses impacted fashion. Eyeglasses did not have arms, meaning users had to decide how they would use them. Some decided to let them rest on the bridge of their nose, others held it to their eyes. Users would also connect eyeglasses to their hats, so they would not have to hold them.
