timeline
Ryan attends orientation for his new job at Cascade Sustainable Energy. During this orientation, he notices some issues that he could help with.
Ryan starts his first day on the job as a business relationship manager. After speaking with his new boss, Nick, Ryan learns that other departments in the company don't think I.T. is in sync with their needs. Ryan dives into the issues with HR and orientation that he observed.
Ryan meets with Maggie, the onboarding manager, and discovers she is aware of the issues with orientation. Ryan learns more about Maggie's specific issues and finds out more about the history of addressing these issues. Ryan learns that I.T. has recently review that orientation system issue, but Maggie has not seen the review.
Ryan meets with Don who did the I.T. review. Ryan sees the review and doesn't believe it offers HR a real remedy. Don does not believe that there are any issues with the current orientation system, but it is instead a lack of training. Also, Don tells Ryan that orientation is a low priority and is not important. While a clear solution was not proposed in the analysis, Don thinks an upgrade in the ERP system will help but thinks this will take several years.
Ryan meets with Maggie to review the I.T. analysis. Ryan finds out that the ERP system does not recommend they it being used for Maggie's needs. They move forward and get quotes from outside vendors that can offer support.
