What is copyright?
Is the legal right of the owner of intellectual property. In other words, copyright is the right to copy; this means that the original creators of products and anyone they give authorization to are the only ones with the exclusive right to reproduce the work. If this is not the case and expose a work that is not yours without giving credit or without having asked permission from the creator, there will be problems.

Direct plagiarism:
Copying another writer's work without giving credit to the creator.
Direct “Patchwork” Plagiarism:
Copying material from several writers & rearranging with citation.
Insufficient Citation of Quotes:
Incorporating another writer's words or phrases without quotation marks or citation.
Paraphrasing without citing:
Changing the words of an original source, but uses the ideas without citing.
Misrepresentation of Common Knowledge:
Failing to cite, believing info is "common knowledge".
What does the "Declaration of Principles on Freedom of Expression" say?
It says that the right to seek, receive or disseminate information, ideas or creations is guaranteed as long as they communicate with the author or creator and authorize it.
What does copyright have to do with the creation of new works?
The copyright act provides that copyright protection begins at the moment the work is created.
