enter the body.
Proteins, fats, carbohydrates are

in
the small intestine.

10 m (30 ft) long
from one end to the other.
It is continuous starting at the
mouth,
passing through the pharynx,
the oesophagus,
the stomach,
the small and
large intestines,
and ending in the rectum,
and finally into the anus.
Associated with it are
accessory
organs of digestion:
the teeth,
tongue,

being in total 1.5 - 1.8 m long.
The remainder of the small intestine consists of
the
jejunum
which is about 2.5 m long
and the
ileum
which is about 3.5 m long.
the first part of this is the
duodenum
is about 25 cm long and
shaped like letter ‘C’.
