Then, there is a outbreak of a deadly disease.
as the story goes on, more and more people catch the disease.

Next, Mary found the garden and made her first friends.
Mary went to explore the garden and, met a gardener named Ben Wetherstaff.

Ben had a robin, and the robin was delighted to see Mary.

Then, Mary met Martha Sowerby.

When Mary woke up, Martha was looking at her.
Mary was insulted! she thought "the natives" as she called them were just servants. in her vew, things to be yelled at and ordered around.

Eventaly, Mary told Colin about the garden.
They asked Dickon to push Colin's wheelchair. Eventually, they all got outside and into the garden.
