Biofuels can be formed from the mixture of raw materials, to make biodiesel or bioethanol. Biodiesel is formed through the transesterfication of triglycerides from fruits and oils and methanol to obtain 2 products, glycerin and methyl ester (biodiesel). Meanwhile, bioethanol can be processed from grains or wheat, those containing simple carbohydrates such as fructose and glucose (monosaccharides) can be instantly fermented. Whilst, those with complex carbohydrates like disaccharides or polysaccharides go through hydrolysis first to break down the saccharides, then proceed to fermentation (Lewis and Arthur, 2018).
