systematic sampling
sampling at a fixed interval at a fixed timing at a fixed location e.g. every 5th person who passes by the bus stop

RANDOM SAMPLING
It is picking out names from a box at random / number generator / random number table to remove biasness as there is equal chance of being selected

Hypothesis:

Hypothesis should not be:
- factual statement
- answering multiple qns
- vague
- a question
- phrased in a tone which shows your stand

- Descriptive / explanatory (A few sentences or para needed)
- Requires more time to complete
- Suggestions
- Reasonings

What questions to avoid in a survey?
- Vague / indirect qns
eg please give suggestions for Marina Bay Sands
- Leading qns
eg do you think the view is magnificient
- Double barralled
Do you think it is clean and beautiful
- Sensitive qns
Age, monthly salary, home address
What is a good survey?
- Title + purpose included
- Simple language and vocab usage
- Inclusive of variety of questions
- One qn = one info
ANALYSING DATA
- identify trends and patterns (positive or inverse relationship, increase or decrease or constant
- describe association of data (eg relationship number of elderly and senior corners)
- Explain abnormalities
FORMING CONCLUSION
- state if hypothesis supported / valid or rejected / invalid
- number/ figure added as evidence
