Sleep Study appointment/polysomnography
Record and analyze night time sleep patterns and identify any underlying sleep disorder
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a sleep disorder that involve person’s upper airway to collapse during sleep
Untreated -increase the risk of hypertension, heart attack, stroke, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
Hooked up to several equipments - monitor heart, lung, brain activity, breathing patterns, arm and leg movements, and blood oxygen levels while sleeping
Smoking
Advise to stop smoking
Nicotine replacement therapy – lozenge, patches, gums
Prescription medication - varenicline
Blood Pressure management
Exercise regularly
Avoid from being stress
Monitor blood pressure regularly
