New government was established with a president and a legislature made up of two houses.

Worked 2 party parlament.

Voted for social reforms, such as unemployment benefits and pensions

Widespread government corruption led to a weak, centralized political system.

In Germany, the government established by Otto Von Bismarck set up a two houses legislature

The reichstag was elected by male voters.

Eaither way the emperor still maintained political power, by controllling the military and foreign policy.

William II, the emperor at the time of Germany, build Germany up to be the strongest and industrial power in Europe.

He was conservative, so his conservative forces warded the rise of democracy in Germany.

Rusia

Rusia was becoming an industrialized nation, and the rising working class demanded more political power

At St. Petersburg, peacefully, a bunch of workers , wives and children, were going to present a petition (petition of griavances)

Soldiers thought that it was like some kind of massive mob that was gonna destroy the castle, they open up fire killing a multitude of people.

Workers go on strike.

The Czar, stablished something called the Duma, this was like the Russian legislative assembly.

In 1882 there´s a big triple alliance of Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Italy Forming against the Triple Entente
