Hatha Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga

Kundalini Yoga
to simulate or unlock life force energy, thought be tightly coiled in spinal base. involves meditation singing and kriyas.
Power Yoga
developed from Ashtanga, it is done at quicker pace. strengthens muscle and increases flexibility.
Bikram Yoga
developed by Bikram Choudhury, it is a hot yoga performed in 41 degree C, 40% humidity with 26 poses.
Iyengar Yoga
developed by B.K.S.Iyengar, its alignment based style with optional use of props like chairs, walls etc.
Yin Yoga
slower yoga where poses are held for minutes. uses multiple props and focuses on connective tissues.
Vinyasa Yoga
developed from Ashtanga, its a "flow style" yoga linking breath to movement.
