- - - - Pioneer research program
    - - Experimental Psych: Yale Open Course (my first look into Experimental Psych, which strengthened my choice to take it as the subject I'd like to learn in the future)
      - Psychotherapy: KnowYourself (I was really into the learning. I'm curious about DSM-V and all kinds of disorders and their treatments. The course made me reflect a lot in life.)
    - - I read a book called The Female Psychotherapist (translated from Chinese) when I was 11. That was the first time I learned about psychology and psychotherapy. That book was not professional, as I looked back now, but it incited my interest and curiosity for the first time
      - My brother in UBC at that time had elective psychology courses. When he came back every summer he used to tell me interesting things he learned about psychology. He also recommended me that official account (KnowYourself), which is very important to me now
      - One of my close friends in middle school was suspended from school because of psychological disorders (GAD & depression, Yale-Brown OCD). Later she used to come to school every Friday evening to pick up study materials and homework. I always sit with her in the big empty classroom listening to her talking about her experience and feelings. She stayed down after that. And after I went to high school I still have lunch with her on weekends to learn about her condition. Luckily she was recovered from that and was able to make new friends in her high school.
  - - - I once believed that I was interested in performing arts, like theatre. I took a performing course at school. Actually I really enjoyed it (it was absolutely fun!), but slowly after that I realized that I'm not that into performing, but directing or taking control of the bigger picture. So I switched my focus to film.
      - School Musicals
        
        I put a LOT efforts and time on this. For me it is far more than the production of shows, but also leading people and organizing something really big. Our productions usually cost months each, and there were just so much things to concern about during the process. It was a good training. I also got to know a lot of people in school through this
